The 94 Kutter was a step away from the conventional sailing yachts that Hallberg Rassy produce. The hull shape was to be a tribute to the traditional Swedish fishing craft with a flared bow and canoe stern. The design proved very popular with yachtsmen from more Northern Climes and 195 were built between 1981 and 1995. This particular model is hull #2 and was displayed at the debut launch of the boat at the London boat show. She is in particularly good order and has been well maintained by current and previous owners. Major works carried out include the introduction of a Yanmar 55hp diesel in 2002, replacement hot water system, heads plumbing and holding tank, replacement teak and holly flooring, all in 2005 and replacement teak decks in 2006. New electronics including wireless wind speed/direction, Raymarine Axiom touch screen GPS/Plotter and Raymarine i40 speed/depth added in 2017/18. New Profurl genoa furling system added in 2018 along with new back and forestays. New stack pack for main.
Below decks is warm, welcoming and a place that you can imagine spending quality time with family or friends. Classic feel with a mixture of solid teak and teak veneered marine ply bulkheads. As with all Hallberg Rassy designed and built boats, there is robustness and feeling of strength and durability about all the fixtures and fittings. The upholstery is a nautical blue velour and is in excellent condition.
The main saloon is entered via the companionway. To starboard is the galley which features a Plastimo Neptune 2000 gas fuelled oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Double stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold freshwater. Deep cupboard storage behind and above oven. Cupboard storage below sink. Top loading icebox. Opposite the galley is additional workspace and chart area. The unit is fitted with drawers, with the top one dedicated to chart storage and the others to galley related utensils and cooking pans.
The saloon seating area has a larger L-shaped seating area to port with hull-mounted storage cupboard and a central open bookshelf with a fiddle. The settee will convert to either a large single or an intimate double. The backrest raises and when clipped in place becomes a further berth. The saloon table is slightly offset allowing clear passage forward. Drop leaved with central bottle storage. Opposite is the starboard settee/berth again with a raisable backrest providing an additional berth. There are a further two lockers above the berth and a central drinking glass storage unit.
Between the saloon and the forward cabin is a small passageway. To starboard is a large wardrobe and to port is the heads compartment with marine toilet, holding tank, ceramic sink unit with pull out shower head and hot and cold pressurised water. Mirrored bulkhead and cupboard storage in hull. Toilet fitted with Blakes vales replaced in 2017. Toilet pipework in good order. Jabsco twist and lock flushing mechanism.
In the bow is a V-berth arrangement with water tanks and holding tank below. It can be used as two singles or a double with the use of an infill board and cushion. Deck hatch for light and ventilation. Forward cabin privacy door.
12V reading and deckhead lights. Eberspacher diesel fired warm air heating.
